Nomad Moto Stockman Bags – Real World Test

Recently ran the Nomad Moto Stockman bags with the rackless system on a supported tour and they proved to be a seriously good bit of kit.

I loaded them up with tools, spares, wet weather gear and an extra set of gloves, and they swallowed it all without fuss. We had long dusty days, multiple river crossings, and a bit of weather along the way and everything inside stayed completely dustproof and waterproof.

One feature I really liked was the pressure release valve on each bag. When you roll the top closed you can push the air out, which makes it much easier to compress the bags properly and get a tight seal.

The setup sat perfectly on the T7. Once the straps were tensioned they stayed that way, and the bags were rock solid on the bike, even on rough terrain. Best part was they never got in the way when moving around on the bike or standing on the pegs.

When it was time to pull them off the bike, the whole system with the bags still attached to the rackless base came off in about 30 seconds. We gave them a wash and they came up looking brand new again.

Simple, tough, and built for proper adventure riding.

Thanks to Kurt from Nomad Moto for supplying the bags for us to try out. After this trip, Rumbling Adventures is seriously considering changing over all of our luggage systems to Nomad Moto.
