Kove 450 Rally: Rally Spirit Meets Adventure
Kove 450 Rally: Real World Adventure Rally Motorcycle Tested Off Road and On
The Kove 450 Rally is a bike that catches you off guard in the best way. With two seat heights, 960mm and 910mm, the ergonomics feel spot-on, and the rider triangle is perfectly balanced. Large rally-style foot pegs inspire confidence the moment you get on.
Fuel range is impressive, with 30 liters spread across twin 7-liter front tanks and a 16-liter rear tank, which also doubles as the subframe. This setup keeps the bike balanced and ready to roam all day, making it ideal for long adventure rides.
The Euro 5+ compliant engine has a strange sound and an unusually quiet exhaust, but don’t let that fool you. Low- to mid-range power is modest, but once you push past 6000rpm, the bike comes alive, eager to dance across gravel, fire trails, and open roads.
Electronics are minimal, keeping the ride raw and engaging. ABS is fully switchable on the fly via the left handlebar switch gear, with full ABS, rear-only off, or completely off. There are no mapping modes—just pure rider control.
The landscape TFT provides all essential info, including fuel level and gear indicator, and the bike comes equipped with both USB-A and USB-C ports to power accessories such as GPS units, phones, or action cameras on the go. The seat is comfortable for long days in the saddle, and the 21-inch tubed front and 18-inch tubed rear wheels deliver classic rally capability. Stock tires offer good all-around grip, though longevity remains to be seen. Suspension is firm but absorbs hard hits impressively and only gets better as speed builds.
The Kove 450 Rally delivers an authentic adventure rally experience - raw, capable, and surprisingly fun. A huge thank you to NZ importer TSM Enterprises LTD for letting us take it for a spin. Rumbling Adventures will have Kove 450 Rally bikes in their fleet for the 2026/2027 tour season, giving riders the chance to experience this unexpected adventure machine firsthand.
