This is not a polished brochure ride.
This is an invite only backcountry mission for the Dirt Chimps, built around proper riding and zero fluff. If you like your routes rough, your days long, and your stories earned the hard way, this ride is for you.
For six full days, the Dirt Chimps will be led deep into the wild spine of New Zealand’s South Island. Remote valleys, high country passes, forgotten dirt roads, and braided river crossings are the standard, not the exception. Expect wide open terrain, raw backcountry, and constant moments of how is this even a road.
 
Your bike is set up to be ridden, not babied. Fuel, breakfasts, and a dedicated support vehicle carrying your luggage mean you ride light, ride hard, and stay focused on the dirt ahead. The logistics are handled, so the only decision you need to make is how much throttle to use.
When the engines shut down for the night, you roll into comfortable accommodation, hot showers, solid food, and a table full of riders who get it. This is where the banter flows, the laughs get louder, and the day’s chaos turns into stories that stick.
This is not about luxury.
It is about commitment, momentum, and miles.
 
Expect
20+ river and creek crossings, because bridges are optional
1,500+ kilometres of terrain, with at least half of it dirt and gravel
Routes adapted to the group, pushing when the crew wants more
5 riding days, with the option of a sixth, or a rest day in Queenstown, to recover or make bad decisions
Full support, experienced guides, backup vehicle, and a crew that understands Dirt Chimp mentality
