NORTH ISLAND RUMBLE

The NORTH ISLAND RUMBLE ride is an epic North Island adventure experience consisting of 50% dirt. This ride consists of 8 days of excellent riding, starting and finishing in Wellington , taking in some of the best back roads, tracks and water crossings on the North Island.
9 Nights in the ride with overnights in Wellington, Castlepoint, Dannevirke, Taupo, Whangamomana, Waitotara Valley, Taihape, Masterton and Wellington providing opportunity to look around some amazing New Zealand towns and enjoy the local hospitality.
Experience the North Island's large range of riding conditions from breathtaking river crossings , riding through bush tracks and passing through Whangamomona, a must-see on New Zealand's North Island.
Riders will be picked-up the afternoon before the tour starts from Wellington airport/hotel and dropped-off the day after it finishes in Auckland.
This ride has a “DIRT” focus with some tarseal riding and a lot of gravel roads, tracks and river/stream crossings to keep you on your toes.

The Ride
Day 0 - You will be picked up from Wellington Airport in the afternoon and taken to our accommodation where you will familiarise yourself with your motorcycle, meet other riders on your ride and stay the night.
Day 1 - Wellington to Castlepoint. Leaving Wellington we head east starting at Akatarawa Forest. This is a good introduction on what to expect over the next 4 days. 224KM- 50% Dirt
Day 2 - Castlepoint to Dannevirke. We head northwest to pick our way through bush tracks and back roads to Dannevirke. 150KM - 70% Dirt
Day 3 -Dannevirke to Taupo. Leaving Dannevirke in the morning to track north towards Napier before turning towards the centre of the North Island. 270KM - 35% Dirt
Day 4 - Taupo to Whangamomona. After completion of the 42nd Traverse we head for the Forgotten Highway via Taumarunui and end our day at the Republic of Whangamomona. 225KM - 60% Dirt
Day 5 - Whangamomona to Waitotara Valley. Leaving Whangamomana after breakfast we head south along the Old Whangamomona Rd track while making out way to the Waitotara Valley along farm tracks and dirt roads. 190KM - 65% Dirt
Day 6 - Waitotara Valley to Taihape. Our day starts with a ride along a farm track. We head south before turning inland to make our way to Taihape where we will spend the night. 185KM - 50% Dirt
Day 7 - Taihape to Masterton. We head south zigzagging along back roads and dirt roads making our way to Masterton where we will spend the night. 250KM - 50% Dirt
Day 8 - Masterton to Wellington. Our day starts with breakfast before heading for the capital. We should get there by mid day, 90KM - 0% Dirt
We will spend our last night together as a group in Wellington.
