5 Days of Dirt – The Ultimate Adventure Awaits!

Get ready for an exhilarating journey like no other with our 5 Days of Dirt tour! This 5-day, 6-night adventure is designed for intermediate to expert riders who thrive on the thrill of dirt and gravel. With over 1,500 km of riding, 65% of which is dirt and gravel, you'll experience some of the best rugged terrain and off-road riding New Zealand’s South Island has to offer.

 

The tour includes 40+ water crossings, each one a test of skill and determination, all while navigating through some of the most stunning landscapes. You’ll be fully equipped with provided saddle bags to carry your own luggage, giving you the independence to ride hard and fast while staying self-reliant.

Accommodation is provided for the nights, ensuring you have a comfortable place to rest and recharge after each day’s adventure. This is not just a ride – it’s an opportunity to challenge yourself, meet fellow riders, and conquer trails that will stay with you forever.

The Ride

Night 1 Riders get picked up from the Christchurch Airport and taken to our arranged accommodation for the night

Day 1 - Riders have breakfast and are ready to leave at 8:30am. Traveling to Fairlie the long way around. 245KM - 55% Dirt

Day 2 - 7:30am Departure for Alexandra via Black Forest Station and Danseys Pass. 380KM - 65% Dirt

Day 3 - 8:00am Departure for the Obelisk, Nevis track and Piano Flats. 325KM - 65% Dirt

Day 4 - 8:00am Departure for Kurow via Lake Onslow, Moa Creek and Omarama  Saddle. 305KM - 70% Dirt

Day 5 - 8:30am Departure for Christchurch via Hakataramea Valley and Mac Kenzie  Pass. 330KM - 60% Dirt

Day 6  9:30am Departure to drop participants off at Christchurch Airport

INCLUSIONS

  • Pick-up, the day before the tour starts from Christchurch airport and dropped-off the day after it finishes.

  • Motorcycle - Your choice from available models fitted out for your ride

  • Full Comprehensive motorcycle Insurance 

  • Guide(s) – With Emergency Locator Beacon

  • Planned Routes - 5 Days worth of routes, with optional extra sections

  • 28 Litre Soft Saddle bags per bike for luggage

  • 6 Nights Accommodation - Twin share accommodation is provided

EXCLUSIONS

  • Motorcycle riding gear - The individual rider is responsible for having the appropriate rider safety gear including a appropriate helmet with visor or goggles, gloves, boots and clothing.

  • Fuel- all participants pay for their own fuel.

  • Meals - No meals are included in this ride. Each stop offers a variety of dining options. All meals are at individuals cost.

  • Flights to and from Christchurch.
