          Rider Requirements

1. License – A full motorcycle licence valid in New Zealand, or an International Driver’s Permit.

2. Minimum Age – 21 years old.

3. Experience – These rides aren’t for beginners. You’ll need solid off-road skills and the ability to handle a mid-size adventure bike far beyond the comfort of sealed highways.

4. Gear – You bring your own safety kit. Essentials:

   • Motorcycle helmet

   • Riding gloves

   • Adventure or MX boots

   • Riding jacket & pants

   • Body armour (integrated or separate)

• All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).

• Lock in your spot and claim your ride — a NZD 1,500 deposit secures your place on the tour and your choice of motorcycle from the available fleet.

• Pay your deposit easily by credit card through our online booking system. Deposits are non-refundable.

• We’ll send you an invoice for the remaining balance, which must be settled no later than 30 days before departure. Payments can be made via bank transfer or credit card (note: a 3.3% surcharge applies to credit card transactions).

• If full payment isn’t received within the 30-day window, your deposit will be forfeited and your booking released.

• A bond of NZD 2,500 per motorcycle is required at the start of the ride. (See our Insurance Terms & Conditions for details.)

• All prices include 15% New Zealand GST.

Participant Cancellation

Life throws curveballs — but here’s how it works if you can’t make the ride:

• Cancel 30 days or more before departure and we’ll refund what you’ve paid, minus the non-refundable deposit.

• Cancel within 30 days of departure and the full ride cost is forfeited.

• Fail to show up at the starting line for any reason? That’s considered a no-show, and 100% of the ride cost is forfeited.

We strongly recommend riders carry personal travel insurance to cover unexpected events that might stop you from joining the adventure.

Ride Cancellations

At Rumbling Adventures, we go rain, shine, or mud — but safety comes first. We may cancel a scheduled ride at any time due to:

• Low participation

• Severe weather or natural disasters

• Pandemics

• Or any other reason beyond our control

If we do cancel, we will:

• Notify you immediately

• Not be responsible for extra costs or losses caused by the cancellation (e.g., your travel, accommodation, or other pre-booked plans)

• Offer to reschedule your ride for another date or refund your deposit and balance minus any costs already committed (e.g., accommodation, activities, admin fees). This will be considered full settlement.

 

• Support vehicle – Carries your luggage so you can ride light and free.

• Airport pick-up – pick-up from Christchurch Airport the day before the tour kicks off.

• Airport drop-off – Delivered to Wellington Airport the day after the tour wraps up.

• Your machine, your choice – Pick from our fleet of adventure-preped motorcycles.

• Full comprehensive motorcycle insurance – Ride hard, ride confident.

• Fuel for the journey – Every drop you need is on us.

• Breakfast & coffee every morning – Fuel for the rider as well as the bike.

• Experienced guides – Equipped with Emergency Locator Beacons for safety in the wild.

• Epic routes – 8 days of mapped trails with optional challenges for the hungry riders.

• Accommodation – 9 nights in twin-share/basic stays to rest between rides.

• First aid backup – For when the trail bites back.

• Mechanical support – Keeping your wheels turning no matter what.

• Rumbling Adventures T-shirt – Your badge of the ride.
